NYC STEM Club prides itself on its competitive exam preparation boot camps. With experienced instructors, proprietary curriculum, and personalized attention, we have achieved significant results on competitive exams such as the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, ACT, and SAT. Boot camps are intensive programs dedicated to test preparation; students attend class four times a week, 4 hours a day, while also sitting for mock exams every other week. Students will not only learn the content tested, but they will also learn specific exam strategies only taught at NYC STEM Club. With targeted review and individualized study plans, we work closely with each student to ensure their academic success.
STEM Immersion Camps (STEMIC) provide students with hands-on lab experience, focusing on science, technology, engineering, and math, while also working on interdisciplinary projects and activities that build problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills. STEMICS are weeklong programs centered around unique STEM coursework, such as Engineering and Robotics, 3D-Printing, and Life Sciences. These programs are best suited for elementary and middle school students who wish to dive deeper into the world of STEM through kinesthetic and collaborative learning. Students can enroll in one or multiple weeks and can choose from half-day or full day camps.
To avoid summer slide, NYC STEM Club provides academic enrichment courses that are both engaging and rigorous. These courses are largely focused on solidifying content knowledge from the previous grade while also pushing students ahead by exposing them to new topics covered in the next grade. These courses are best for students in grades 3 and 4. For grades 5 and 6, we offer a specialized Pre-Hunter and Pre-SHSAT course, which familiarizes students with topics covered on the actual Hunter and SHSAT exam. Students seeking a head start can take classes twice a week to prepare for the Fall semester, where they generally join an advanced enrichment cohort.
